The In Store Display (ISD) group, of which Sitour is its historic brand, and POP Solutions have formalised a strategic and commercial alliance to provide a comprehensive multi-material offering in the French POS market.

POP Solutions, a Belgian POS market leader, is joining forces with the French group In Store Display (ISD), which specialises in the development and sale of merchandising solutions. The move will enable them to combine their complementary areas of expertise, namely:

  • Fitting out and enhancing shelf space to highlight products and brands (ISD)
  • Manufacturing floor and counter displays, promotional spaces and window decorations (POP Solutions).

“The complementary nature of ISD Group and POP Solutions appealed to us as soon as our discussions began in 2020. Brand visibility at the point of sale and the achievement of tangible results will be the basis of our joint actions going forward.” John Morent and Pascal Vandecaveye, joint CEOs of POP Solutions.

Bringing recognised and complementary expertise to a wider clientele

ISD, with over 55 years of expertise in merchandising, theatralisation and point-of-sale communication, offers a complete range of standard and customised solutions in Europe, and is highly respected among its customers, who include retailers, advertisers and POS intermediaries.

A key player in point-of-sale (POS) advertising in the Benelux and France since 2007, POP Solutions specialises in the production of innovative and eco-friendly POS solutions. Bringing together industrial know-how in a range of materials (cardboard, metal, PVC, digital printing) at a single site in Belgium, POP Solutions provides unique and personalised project management support to clients including large retailers, pharmaceutical industry players and advertisers.

“With our recognised expertise and strong set of shared values, this alliance really makes sense as a way to develop a broader offer for our customers in France and the Benelux countries.” Eve Stockel, CEO of ISD Group.

Commercial synergies based on common values

Shared values are integral to the new partnership. Both European industrial players are committed to product innovation with a strong focus on sustainable development.

At ISD brand Sitour, a commitment to CSR has been part of day-to-day business for over 15 years.

The company has been working for several years to relocate its production to France and Europe and reduce its carbon footprint. This is particularly true of its BULK IT! range of zero-waste dispensers, previously sourced in the United States. Its Innovation teams are also studying all the potential alternatives in terms of materials used and are working on life cycle assessments (LCAs) for a number of projects.

POP Solutions, for its part, is committed to consuming and producing more responsibly by recycling and reusing more. Its R&D department, aware of the need for environmental responsibility, designs and creates POS solutions that are sustainable throughout their life cycle, from eco-design and choice of materials, through to transport and end-of-life.

This commitment is reflected in EcoVadis gold and silver medals respectively.
